Qaqorhさんが仙台で開催された “第26回日本RNA学会年会” に参加し、”Atf3 controls transitioning in female mitochondrial cardiomyopathy as identified by spatial and single-cell transcriptomics” というタイトルで口頭発表を行いました。

以下、学会レポートです。

I attended the RNA conference held in Sendai on July 8^th to 10^th.

I gave a talk about our recently published paper on Atf3’s role in mitochondrial diseases.

This is my first time attending the RNA conference, and it was a good opportunity to hear about the latest discoveries in the field of RNA biology. Certainly, there has been an increased interest in RNAs, particularly mRNAs, after Covid vaccines and the Nobel prize, so there was a focus on mRNA, siRNA, miRNA therapeutics.

The RNA society also launched the Furuichi-Kariko award, established in memory of Dr. Furuichi Yasuhiro through donation from Dr. Kariko. This award is supposed to recognise the work of leading researchers in the RNA field. This conference held the inaugural ceremony, and the award was received by Dr. Iwasaki Shintaro.

It was my first time going to Sendai, too. It was slightly cooler than Osaka, and it was a very nice experience.
