Qaqorhさんが台湾で開催された “Keystone symposia: Mitochondria in health and disease” に参加し、”Atf3 triggering cardiomyocytes transitioning to dysfunction in female mitochondrial cardiomyopathy” というタイトルでポスター発表を行いました。

以下、学会レポートです。

I attended the Keystone Symposia: Mitochondria in health and disease held in Taipei, Taiwan from January 13th to the 16th , 2025.
I presented a poster on my PhD research project.  About 20 people heard the presentation and gave positive feedback.  I had several discussions with established scientists in the mitochondrial diseases community who gave valuable insights on my work.  I also had the opportunity to discuss the work of other labs, many of which developed new technologies in studying mitochondria.

The symposium also offered recreational activities with the help of local members and students in National Taiwan University.  I was able to go on many tours for sightseeing, including temples, the night market, and university departments.  The most valuable part was when I had a private discussion with faculty members of NTU about careers in science, labs, funding, projects, and possible future opportunities.

Taiwan was wonderful and very warm. The food was also delicious.
